Now batch all your images using the action you just created using the batch option to save and close the files. Save this action and close the image without saving it. Then create an action you add the path to then rotate the image so the path becomes horizontal then load the path as a selection and do menu image>Ĭrop. Where you interactivity work on that first image come up with a path for the crop. If that is the case you should be able to automate the batch crop with something like a Photoshop action.

Unless you have some special setup where all images are the same size and orientation and need to be cropped exactly like the first image. You seem to want something that is interactive which sort of rules out an automated batch solution. The images need to be cropped and saved automatically It should be fast and intuitive. A grid overlay is helpful to fine tune the rotation. I need to be able to make minor rotations of the image (not 90 degree rotations). I need to create the aspect constrained box on the first image. I need to crop to 16:9 with a custom user defined crop box. The programs either don't have the cropping options I need, are too slow and bloated, load slowly and don't allow for basic simple file management. I have tried Jpegcrops, Jpegcrop, Corell Paint Shop Pro, ACDsee, Adobe Elements, Perfect Resize and and few others that slip my mind. However I want to be able to convert and save all crops at once. It goes rather quickly with a short sequence of keyboard commands for each save. The only shortfall is convert and save requires saving each crop individually. It has batch resize and rename options which I also need but isn't necessary in the cropping program because these batch functions are readily available. The custom crop can then be applied to hundreds of images. Allows minor image rotation with a grid overlay.

The program calls up quickly, uses windows style file management on the side bar, has a good editing window for drawing an aspect constrained 16:9 box.

The best I have found so far is Canon Digital Photo Professional that came with the my Canon 60D. I use and prefer basic Windows Explorer file management. I don't want a program that uses a database for file management.

I have downloaded and tried several for sale and freeware programs but none of them work for my needs.
